JOB TITLE: Surgical Services Nurse Manager
STATUS: Full-time exempt status (40 hours per week with ability to flex up as needed)
WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday Day Shift (plus call)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides direction for professional nursing care for patients in the surgical services department. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a surgical services department. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Consults with Nurse Executive on nursing problems and interpretation of government regulations and hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Collaborates with staff, physicians and other department leaders to meet patient needs. Manages staff and directs operations, policies/procedures, quality improvement, budget, education, employee selection and orientation, coordination, documentation, professional behavior, and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be a licensed RN in the State of West Virginia. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS required (must be obtained within 60 days of hire). Bachelor’s degree in nursing
preferred. Operating Room experience preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem solving abilities preferred.

JOB TITLE: LPN
STATUS: Full-time
DEPARTMENT: Primary Family Care
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Thursday 
(Friday’s as needed)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Prepare EHR for outpatient visit, do prior authorizations, process referrals and reports, assist with procedures, sterile techniques, draw up medication for injections, wound care, order and stock supplies, monitor and perform CLIA labs, follow up calls, work closely with ED, outpatient and hospital surgical departments and support busy physician practice as needed. Perform other administrative and clinical duties under the direction of provider.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current WV license. Current CPR, BLS.  


 

JOB TITLE: RN
STATUS: Full-time
DEPARTMENT: Emergency Department
WORKING HOURS: 7p – 7 a, as scheduled / All shifts as needed


JOB DESCRIPTION: Renders appropriate professional nursing care to patients coming into the Emergency Department. Works under the direction of the supervisor. Evaluates each patient and plans their care according to problems noted on evaluation.


REQUIREMENTS: Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Experience in an Emergency Department preferred.


 

JOB TITLE: RN
STATUS: Full-time
DEPARTMENT: Emergency Department
WORKING HOURS: 11A – 11P, as scheduled / All shifts as needed

JOB TITLE: Surgical Tech
STATUS: Full-time
DEPARTMENT: Surgery
WORKING HOURS: M-F (Hours will be scheduled depending upon surgical cases) Evening, Weekend, and Holiday call rotation.


JOB DESCRIPTION: The operating room technician assists surgeons, anesthetists and nurses in the care and treatment of patients in the operating room. They function under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and learn special functions in the OR and Central Services.


REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have graduated from an accredited surgical technician program and completed certification testing by the Association of Surgical Technologists. Current CPR is required. Previous experience as a surgical tech is preferred.

 


 

JOB TITLE: RN
STATUS: Full-time
DEPARTMENT: Med/Surg
WORKING HOURS: 7P-7A shift, as scheduled

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides care to groups of patients of all ages with a variety of diseases and/or diagnosis. Strives to improve patient care and patient outcomes. Understands the nursing process and standards of nursing care. Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team in an effective manner.


REQUIREMENTS: Must be a licensed RN in the State of West Virginia. Must be able to provide appropriate and supportive care to patients from pediatrics to geriatrics with various medical/surgical conditions. Current BLS required. ACLS and PALS preferred. Proven competency in safety such as preventing med errors, adverse drug reactions, patient falls, blood transfusions, pain management and “exceptional” customer service. One-year experience as a staff nurse preferred. Communicates in a clear manner both verbally and in writing. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.


JOB TITLE: Licensed Practical Nurse
STATUS: Per diem
DEPARTMENT: MHHC / Clinics
WORKING HOURS: All days/hours as needed

JOB DESCRIPTION: Cross train to provide coverage in out patient clinics including Morad Hughes Health Center, Surgical Associates, JGH Clinic at Wal-Mart and Orthopedics. Prepare EHR for outpatient visit, do prior authorizations, process referrals and reports, assist with procedures, sterile techniques, draw up medication for injections, wound care, schedule surgeries, order and stock supplies, good communication skills, follow up calls, work closely with ED, outpatient and hospital surgical departments and support busy physician practice as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current WV license. Current CPR, BLS.


 

JOB TITLE: MT/MLT
STATUS: Full Time (2 positions available)
DEPARTMENT: Lab
WORKING HOURS: Rotating shift, as scheduled

JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests and procedures and related duties to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, following established standards of practices.

REQUIREMENTS: One to two years of general laboratory experience preferred. Bachelor or Associates degree in medical technology, or related science from an accredited school. Certified as a Medical Technologists or Medical Laboratory Technician. WV license required.
