Jackson General Hospital is currently seeking to hire an experienced accounting professional with Hospital experience:

  • Minimum 5 years Hospital Accounting Experience, CAH experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s degree preferred
  • Previous Controller/CFO experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in managing the annual audit, internal audits and Disproportionate Share audit
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Experience in new service line development
  • Strong financial analytical skills are a must

Job Title: Registration Clerk
Status: Part-time
Department:Business Office/Registration
Working hours: All shifts as needed including weekends, nights and holidays. Based on area of operation, Registration staff are needed 7/24/365.
Job Description: Greets and interviews all patients or legal guardians to obtain personal patient information for the registration process and electronic medical record requirements. Providing excellent customer service including switchboard duties, collecting point of service co-payments and scanning documents.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Basic keyboarding and computer skills to include but not limited to require web based systems, Meditech. Basic knowledge of medical terminology, attention to detail, spell accurately and ability to perform mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures. Hospital based or physician office related experience helpful.
