- Inpatient Coder: Must be Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC). Experience coding in a hospital setting preferred. Familiar with encoder and computerized data systems. Working knowledge of ICD-9-CM Volume 1-3. Working knowledge of MS-DRG's and Inpatient Prospective Payment Systems (IPPS) APC reimbrusement methodologies. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Meditech experience preferred. - Case Manager: Immediate opening Per Diem. JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs clinical service functions by providing ongoing support and expertise through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and overall evaluation of the individual patient needs. The overall goal of the position is to enhance the quality of management and satisfaction, to promote continuity of care and xost effectiveness through the integrating and functions of case management, utilization review, and management of discharge planning. Has accountability for the care, coordination and discharge planning of all patients on assigned unit(s). Education: A Bachelor's degree for an accredited school of Social Services, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or Mental Health related field is required. Experience: 2 years of direct clinical experience in a rural health setting are preferred, with experience in case management/utilization review, discharge planning from hospital, patient assessment, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities is pereferred. Licensure and Certification: Licensed in appropriate discipline per educational background and work experience.
