 The Laboratory is accredited by the Joint Commission and American Proficiency Institute (API); the Lab is licensed and certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
We are staffed by highly-skilled technical and support personnel including state-licensed, Certified Medical Technologists, Certified Medical Laboratory Technicians, and National-
Registered Phlebotomists with a combined total of 370 years experience.
The JGH Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art Industry standard laboratory analyzers, such as The ACL Elite Coagulation Analyzer and the LH 750 Hematology Analyzer, which are new additions to our facility and are comparable to any found in the state.
JGH is constantly updating services and instrumentation to stay on the cutting edge of healthcare technology.
Jackson General Hospital Laboratory is proud to specifically represent our region’s endemic population in the reporting process for normal values.
 The Laboratory offers an outreach service at the Ravenswood and Sandyville Senior Centers, which makes specimen collection convenient for patients residing in those areas who otherwise may have difficulty traveling to the hospital. Lab staff is available for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department 24 hours a day/365 days a year.
