In keeping up with technology, the JGH Radiology Department has recently added the PAC System (Picture Archive and Communication System) and 32-slice CT scanner.

The Nuclear Medicine Department at Jackson General Hospital boasts state-of-the-art equipment comparable to any other facility in the region. Various tests are available including a myocardial stress test that detects early presence of heart disease. Scans that may be performed include thyroid, cardiac (heart), lung, gallbladder, liver, renal (kidney), and bone.
